Motivation Monday - Full Moons and Looking To the Future!

LOOK TO THE FUTURE - Sunday Herald Sun 29/11/2009 - Yasmin Boland www.moonology.com

There is something quite magical about a week of a full moon, such a cleansing energy in the air and a time to start all things afresh and with new enthusiasm and invigorating power. As I sat down and read the following article yesterday, I had already in my mind that it would be very befitting for Monday Motivation this week! Enjoy and Blessings xox

"This week's full moon is a great time to let bygones by bygones as well as make agreements ...

This is a power packed week with a full Moon and a Venus - Saturn link. If astrology is a guide to what's possible at any one time, then this week it's possible to leave the past behind and make a firm commitment to a new path.

The full Moon takes place on Wednesday at 5:30pm, so if you want to do a little "goodbye" ceremony to someone or something, do it around then!

At many spiritual (and not-so-spiritual) locations around the world, there are full Moon rituals every month. The Moon represents emotions and femininity and marks a climax in the monthly lunar calendar. It's as though evens lead up to the full Moon, and its' the energetic high point of the month, and once it's been and gone, life settles down and we start to move through the quieter pre-new Moon period.

The night of the full Moon is said to be very cleansing. Some people leave jewellery out overnight because it is said that it gets cleansed of any accumulated bad vibes, and charged up with protective lunar power.

The full moon this week, coupled with the positive link between Venus and Saturn, also makes it a particularly powerful time to lay down intentions regarding love and money over the coming four week.s

Venus is the planet of love and abundance, and Saturn is the planet that makes agreements and sticks to them ...

The other important point to note this week is that Venus is moving into the sign of Sagittarius on Wednesday. This is excellent news for people born under that sign, but it's also good news for anyone who's felt as though their situation regarding love or money has been a little too intense of late.

Venus's move into this light-hearted, cheery sign means we're all likely to find it a little easier to keep things light, even when talking about touch subjects connected to romance and finances. If in doubt this week when talking about love or money, bring some humour to the situation.

Blessings to you on this Full Moon ...

Motivation Monday on a Tuesday - Mind, Body and Soul

So I had the beautiful opportunity to visit the Mind, Body and Soul Exhibition in Melbourne on the weekend (hence explaining my absence for Monday,as I took an extended weekend of leave.)

I enjoy the Annual Pilgrimage to Melbourne for this event, knowing that as soon as I step inside the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre, I am overcome with just a sense of calm. The ambient nature of the crowds attending, the soothing tones of soulful music, of course, often mixed in with an upbeat of tribal drums, crystals and medicinals of ancient times. There are stage performances, seminars and of course the opportunity for readings, numerology, tarot cards, mediumship and spiritual counselling.

This is an experience not to be missed, nor is it one to be rushed. Its' one where you just float along and be drawn to those exhibitor areas that are meant to be your experience for the day. Whether they hold a certain message for you or not, pends on what thoughts or questions you may come with subconsciously. It is crucial though to come with an open heart and an open mind, the day could be full of unexpected surprises that you never imagined would happen.

A spiritually oriented friend made this trek with me, she from the mountains, myself from the open plains. We found ourselves arriving outside the Brahma Kumaris - Raja Yoga Centre just as a meditation experience was to commence. You see, it is all about the timing ...

The Brahma Kumaris Raja Yoga Centres Inc. (BKs), with over 50 teaching locations across Australia, offer people of all backgrounds an opportunity to deepen their understanding of universal spiritual principles and learn a range of spiritual skills through a variety of educational programmes. In its simplest definition, 'spirituality' means knowing how to live with meaning and purpose.

Remember you have the power to quieten your mind
to give you the peace and happiness you deserve.

T
eaching
others is best done with love.
Once the heart has understood, the mind opens.

It was lovely, I quickly relaxed, closed my eyes and let my inner mind listen to the soothing voice on the speakers. I just slid away on my own journey and when the time was finished, I was feeling very at peace and yearning for more.

Feeling so calm and energised (which was greatly required after my rather hectic week) I went on to having a lovely numerology / tarot / spiritual counselling reading with one of the clairvoyants, which was very positive and encouraging. Readings are often of a more personal nature, so I won't delve into the intricate details. This is the first year that I have come bearing no specific question, so it was nice, just to hear the light and "fluffy" aspects of my life right now. All is well, its' going just as it should and my journey continues on ...

Of course with a trip to the grand City of Melbourne, my friend and I couldn't resist the opportunity to see the next Twilight installment, New Moon, and this could be a complete blog entry on its' own (to which I may do further in the week.)

Likewise, no visit can go by without a little stop over at Spell Box, tucked away in Little Bourke Street or the Royal Arcade (off the Bourke Street Mall) The Arcade being of great decadent history in itself.

And a favourite for the kids, quite motivating in itself as well, was the Myer Christmas Window Display ...

Olivia's Christmas adventures in Olivia Helps with Christmas, a tale about a little pig and her family preparing for Christmas morning and the arrival of Santa Clause on the big day.

The display well worth a look if you are travelling to the grand city before Christmas this year ...

So all in all, I do feel quite refreshed and motivated for the coming week ahead!

Motivational Monday

"I learned ... that inspiration does not come like a bolt, nor is it kinetic, energetic striving, but is comes into us slowly and quietly and all the time, though we must regularly and every day give it a little chance to start flowing, prime it with a little solitude and idleness."

Brenda Ueland quotes (American feminist and author 1891-1985)

What are my thoughts on this?

Inspiration comes in many forms, it may channeled from a celebrity or sporting role model that you greatly admire and aspire to share values of in your everyday lives. It could simply be somebody from your own family that has taught you many valuable traits that shape and form the person you are today, or the person you are working towards becoming.

Your inspiration may simply come from somebody that doesn't even know that they do inspire you, the kind of person that you cross paths with in your life and think "wow, you are such a remarkable person, I am so blessed you have come into my life and showed me how to ... " Remember the ordinary are often the extra-ordinary!

It may be from a website, a forum, a blog, a story that you have read, or movie that you have viewed, or even something random you have stumbled across, or been drawn to when most needed.

Your inspiration may be drawn from all of these entities, you drawing out, like radiant glowing strings of energy, bits and pieces, that you twist, and turn, manipulate and create into something miraculous that leads to a further greatness in your life. That creates a feeling of self fulfillment or accomplishment, a sense of pride, even of security and self-acceptance.

Greatness out there comes in many shapes and forms, it doesn't have to be the scientist or sporting hero, it can be the simple pleasure everyday from people that take the extra step to smile, say a kind word, lend a helping hand. Sometimes the smallest acts create the greatest people.

Every day, take the time to feel inspired, the time to clear the mind, to visualise, or to meditate and re-connect the inner psyche. It could even just be the time that you breathe in and clear your mind of the busy thoughts that are acquired in any day. The time that you stand still for a moment to stare out your window and see the sun rising or setting, or just the moment, you stop and stare up at a clear blue sky with cumulus clouds drifting by.

It doesn't matter where you live, anything and everything can inspire in the smallest or greatest way.

It could be as simple as pulling the car over to stop and look at a marvelling landscape in nature as we did today driving home from an outing, the simple sea of yellow flowers associated with cape weed. I couldn't resist, the yellow was so vibrant, so energising, I was entranced and we pulled over and took a moment to just sit still engulfed in a sea of yellow. You couldn't help but feel inspired by something so simple, it was re-energising, it brought great peace.

So see as this week goes by, what inspires you, how are you inspired, how does it make you feel when you experience this, do you visualise and see yourself inspiring others ...

We all have the power to be inspired and we all have the power to inspire someone else.

Monday's Motivation

Today's motivation comes from the University of Metaphysical Sciences

Your affirmation today will come from your inner pyshce' and led by what the Universe has in store for you on this particular day.

You are asked to take a moment of peace and solitude, clear your mind and visualize, waiting for your intuition to lead you to a number between 1 - 150. It may come to you instantly, or you may like to wait and see what number your angels and/or guides lead you to today.

Monday Motivation

"You can search throughout the entire universe
for someone who is more deserving
of your love and affection than you are yourself,
and that person is not to be found anywhere.

You yourself,
as much as anybody in the entire universe,
deserve your love and affection."

Hindu Prince Gautama Siddharta,

the founder of Buddhism, 563-483 B.C.

Its' all about self-love, you are deserving, like Louise L Hay, "I approve of myself!" you are working towards self-acceptance. When you get discouraged, when you have one of those days that seemed dark and despairing, where you feel all alone, this is the motivation for you, read it out loud to yourself, when you've read it out loud, read it again!

Heal yourself, your body .... your mind .... your spirit ....

Rose Quartz is the most important crystal for self-love. When we don't love ourselves fully we are wounded inside, and a wound will always cry out to be healed. Rose quartz is an instrument of that healing. Carry it, wear it, meditate with it, to remind you that you are important. You are love.

Pink calcite helps to release old and hurtful emotional patterns so that the heart can be open to receive and give unconditional love.

Kunzite is the catalyst for the transformation of self-love into love's external expression. It's a stone of balance, creating a state of emotional calmness, security, and maturity have a special relationship to loving oneself. They link the heart, mind, and body, activating the protective love of the Universe and awakening, healing, and transforming on the spiritual, physical, mental, and emotional levels.

Motivational Monday

" The answers within me come to my awareness with ease"
Louise L Hay (p.75)

Well as always, I can not manage to read one literary text at once (as you would have noticed from "what's on my bedside table".) It seems right now that I am devouring 3 brilliant in depth holistic approached texts, reading some of each, each night and letting my subconscious mind do the rest while my body rests.

So I'm currently up to Chapter 8 in You Can Heal Your Life, cleverly entitled "Building the New." New life, new thoughts, new focus, new pathway. The focus on NEW, its' a mind-set, quite cliche' with "out with the old and in with the new" ... The answers within me come to my awareness with ease, you create this new mindset and the possibilities are endless ...

This "NEW" life you are creating is part of not just looking at your positive affirmations, but its' reaffirming your self-acceptance, your self-approval, ever so crucial the process of loving yourself. You need to look forward, create that new training of your mind which leads me to where I am currently up to and to which today's motivation is based upon.

Good health (as spoken by Louise) begins with loving the self, as do prosperity, love and creative self-expression. When you start to process and accept yourself (your WHOLE self) that's when you begin to make process ....

Where am I currently at .... this exercise ... I approve of myself ...

For the next month, say over and over to yourself ... Even if its' three or four hundred times a day, at least (and NO this is not too many times.)

I approve of myself

I approve of myself

I approve of myself

I approve of myself

I approve of myself

I approve of myself

Louise states "When you are worrying, you go over your problem at least that many times. Let the I APPROVE OF MYSELF became a walking mantra, something you just say over and over and over to to yourself, almost nonstop." (p.78)

Every time a negative thought enters your mind at any level, say it ... I approve of myself ... let this positive affirmation push out that negative consequence ... Accept yourself, approve of yourself ... Our thoughts only have power unless we give in to them .. Thoughts are only words strung together, the have NO MEANING (as Louise would say) It is us in our mind that give meaning to our thoughts, so remember ... accept yourself, continue to "really" learn to love yourself and approve of yourself .. And put this awareness into practice everyday of your life ...

Think thoughts that make you happy

Do things that make you feel good

Be with people who make you feel good

Eat things that make your body feel good

Go at a pace that makes you feel good

(Louise L Hay, You Can Heal Your Life, p. 80)

In the infinity of life where I am,

all is perfect, whole, and complete

My life is ever new.

Each moment of my life is new and fresh and vital.

I use my affirmative thinking to create exactly what I want.

This is a new day.

I am a new me.

I think differently.

I speak differently.

I act differently.

Others treat me differently.

My new world is a reflection of my new thinking.

It is a joy and a delight to plant new seeds,
for I know these seeds will become my new experiences.

All is well in my world.
