Today I finally had some time to relax and watch Louise L Hay's "You Can Heal Your Life - the Movie." It was part of a boxed set with the novel, You can Heal Your Life, which I lovingly requested for my birthday, and joins a great many spiritual healing and motivational/inspirational books in my home.
Louise L. Hay is a metaphysical lecturer and teacher and the bestselling author of numerous books. Her works have been translated into 29 different languages in 35 countries throughout the world. For more than 25 years, Louise has assisted millions of people in discovering and using the full potential of their own creative powers for personal growth and self-healing. Louise is the founder and chairman of Hay House, Inc., a publishing company that disseminates books, audios, and videos that contribute to the healing of the planet.
This movie gives penetrating insights into Louise's fascinating personal story; and shows how her views on self-esteem, abundance, and the metaphysical causes behind physical ailments were developed. It also reveals how she applied these concepts to her own emotional, spiritual, and professional life. A number of luminaries in the fields of self-help, philosophy, health, spirituality, and New Thought join Louise, giving their take on success, happiness, and the myriad ways in which people can heal their own lives.
There is much more specific information here on how to work with affirmations. People that are interviewed as a part of the DVD are Louise Hay, Wayne Dyer, Esther & Jerry Hicks, Gregg Braden, Gay Hendricks, Dr. Christiane Northrup, Doreen Virtue, Cheryl Richardson, Candice Pert, Dr. Mona Lisa Schulz, Leon Nacson, and Elon Bomani. These inspirational people only add to the entire concept of "waking the healer from within!"
I think for most people that watch this movie, it does really hit home, because it makes you stop and think about your "inner you" which is not something we all tend to take the time to do. How many of us could "honestly" stand in front of the mirror, look ourselves directly in the eye and say "I love myself unconditionally for being just who I am, me!" It sounds easy enough to do, but stand there and somehow we start to manifest negative thoughts about ourselves, not just physically, but mentally and emotionally. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to turn these negative thought / energy vibrations and reverse them to the positive to say "I believe in me" "I can succeed!" and therefore start to send positive energy vibes out to the universe to be received.
This movie literally gets to the heart of what all holistic work strives to be, Self empowerment through the clarity of love and awareness. Trust me, after watching this, you will change how you think and feel about life. I know I myself work daily with positive affirmations, but somehow after watching this, I feel greater empowerment and importance to seek even further how I can continue to turn my own life around, and have it on the path its' meant to be on, remembering of course, that's its' all in baby steps, these things do not happen overnight, but with persistence and continuing affirming to yourself that "you can" ... "you will!"
I'm definitely looking forward to delving more into the actual book now and will let you know how it goes!
Don't forget for your kids, we have this one on our bookshelf too, beautiful!
