On the 5th Day of Christmas, we Recycled Fashion in all its' GLORY!

Its' Advent~blog~long day#5 and I'm still going strong (this is quite a blogging commitment for me thus far, so you should be rejoicing in my success at that!)

This afternoon I transformed the other pillowcase slip that I had brought from the Salvation Army Op Shop. I completely cut off the folding portion of the pillow case and re-hemmed to create a shorter length style dress for serious summer fun.

I restyled with the ideals of the havilahashby dress that I made with the Wonderland Fabric, but in this case adding in bright blue ribbon to offset the hues in the material. I'm thinking of unpicking the placement of the straps though and moving them slightly out, I did measure them up on Jaida but they seem a lot closer than her previous dress, what do you think?

Of course Miss Jaida was delighted to think she had yet another little fun frock to flit around in! Its' nice adding the blue to her wardrobe, it's a nice colour on her sun glowing skin.

I'm quite enjoying refashioning pillowcase slips, I may have to venture back again on Monday to see if anything new catches my eye!
