Jaida's Pinny

Well gorgeous Jaida has a new Pinny to wear, albeit not summer, but teamed with a cute little long sleeved stretch top (the one in the picture is one of hers from the flipsy skirt), denim jeans and black shiny shoes, will be perfect for brightening up these sombre and overcast days indicating that winter is upon us!

Jaida was very excited, with an exclamation of "OH WOW MUMMY, YOU MADE ME A WEDDING DRESS!" It must be very special I guess! LOL ...

She happily put it on this morning and has worn it proudly all day!

The Pinny is quite an easy project, the most "time consuming" (for me anyway, the novice sewer) was the gathering stitch to gather the first layer to the top panel, the rest simply came together nicely :)

I did venture out this afternoon to try and pick up some more coordinating fabrics but came home disheartened with nothing "catching my eye!" I feel the need to have more Pinny's!!!

Not sure what my next project will be, I was looking at this this --> Children's apron - (reversible) from the Micheal Miller Blog, Michael Miller Fabrics (I thought the Michael Miller material was divine too.)

I do love this bag too and I've entered my first EB Sewing Swap, so once I have a "buddy" I will have to put my thinking hat on, and have a trip out of town to create my first ever bag :)
